Parsley: A Versatile Herb for Wellness Support

  • Native and Cultivated Worldwide:
Parsley (Petroselinum crispum) is a flowering plant native to the Mediterranean region. Today, it is widely cultivated across Europe, North and South America, and beyond, serving as both a culinary herb and a dietary supplement.

  • Urinary Tract Support:
Parsley has been traditionally valued for its potential to support healthy urinary tract function. By promoting the production and flow of urine, parsley may contribute to the body's natural elimination processes.

  • Kidney and Digestive Wellness:
Herbalists have historically used parsley to support kidney function and digestive health. Its active components include phenolic compounds, antioxidant flavonoids, and essential oils such as myristicin and apiol, which are believed to play a role in these traditional applications.

  • Nutrient-Dense Profile:
Parsley has essential nutrients, including vitamins K, C, and A, as well as calcium, phosphorus, manganese, potassium, and chlorophyll. These nutrients are essential for overall well-being and contribute to parsley’s inclusion in health-focused regimens.

  • Tradition and Detox Support:
Parsley and its essential oils have been used in traditional practices for their natural cleansing properties, aligning with its reputation as a versatile and beneficial herb.

Hydrangea: A Timeless Herb for Supporting Wellness

  • Native Origins and Botanical Beauty:
Hydrangea (Hydrangea arborescens), also known as French Mophead or Hortensia, is a flowering plant native to the Americas and parts of Asia. While admired for its striking appearance in gardens, hydrangea also has a long history of use in traditional practices for its potential health benefits.

  • Urinary Tract Support:
The root of the hydrangea plant is traditionally valued for its ability to support urinary tract health. By promoting natural urine flow, hydrangea root is believed to assist in the body's natural cleansing processes. Its active phytochemical, hydrangin, has been studied for its role in supporting kidney and bladder function, contributing to a well-maintained urinary system.

  • Nutrient Profile and Lithotrophic Action:
Hydrangea root contains beneficial compounds such as flavonoids (including kaempferol and quercetin) and essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and sulfur. Additionally, hydrangea is noted for its lithotrophic properties, referring to its interaction with carbon particles. This attribute may support a thorough cleansing process, helping maintain the health of organs involved in the body’s natural elimination pathways.

Uva Ursi: A Traditional Herb for Supporting Urinary Health

  • Native Origins and History:
Uva Ursi (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi), also known as bearberry, is a small evergreen shrub native to North America. Its traditional use dates back to the 2nd century, where it was valued for its role in promoting natural urinary processes.

  • Key Active Compounds:
Uva Ursi contains active compounds such as arbutin and hydroquinone. These compounds are metabolized by the body and pass through the kidneys, where they support the natural elimination processes of the urinary tract. This function is thought to assist in maintaining urinary tract health.

  • Tannins and Astringent Properties:
Uva Ursi also contains tannins, which are known for their natural astringent properties. These compounds are associated with the tightening of tissues, including mucous membranes, supporting the overall health and function of the urinary system.

Uva Ursi continues to be recognized as a valuable component in herbal formulations aimed at supporting urinary wellness.

Help Me Choose:

Why should I cleanse my kidney?

Maintaining urinary tract health can be likened to performing a spring cleaning for your body. Just as a deep home cleaning tackles the hard-to-reach places where dust and grime accumulate, a kidney cleanse focuses on supporting the natural cleansing processes of your urinary tract. Regular cleansing practices may contribute to maintaining optimal kidney and urinary function, addressing the system's role in filtering and eliminating salts, minerals, and other waste products.

Health Information:

What does the Kidney actually do?

The kidneys are two bean-shaped organs. There are two kidneys that are located just below the rib cage, one on each side of your spine. The function of kidneys is to filter your blood. The filtration process removes wastes and extra water to make urine. The urine is moved to the bladder and is eventually excreted or removed from the body.

Our kidneys perform a remarkable job of filtering and cleaning the blood. Every minute more than one quart of blood passes through the kidneys, which is about 425 gallons every day! Our kidneys constantly check and adjust the amounts of water, acids, salts, etc. in the blood stream, then rid the body of waste products through the urinary tract. Without this balance, nerves, muscles, and other tissues in your body may not work normally.
