Research:

Pau D' Arco:

  • Pau D' Arco (Tabebuia avellanedae) is native to South America.
  • It can grow up to 125 feet tall and has pink-to-purple flowers, which bloom before new leaves appear.
  • It’s incredibly dense and rot-resistant wood is used by native peoples to make hunting bows.
  • What’s more, tribes have long used its inner bark as a treatment for better health conditions.
  • Pau D’ Arco has been used on a wide range of health conditions.
  • Most of the chemical research on Pau D' Arco has been done on the wood and the inner bark.
  • Pau D' Arco contains chemical compounds called naphthoquinones, specifically lapachol and beta-lapachone.
  • They are thought responsible for the purported benefits.
  • Pau D’ Arco also contains significant amounts of the antioxidant quercetin.
  • Burdock Root:
  • In traditional herbal texts, burdock root is described as a “blood purifier” or “alterative” and was believed to clear the bloodstream of toxins.
  • In the book; Prescription for Nutritional Healing by Phyllis A. Balch, CNC and James F. Balch, M.D. Burdock Root is described as a:
  • "powerful anti-oxidant, capable of scavenging hydrogen peroxide and superoxide radicals. It also showed a scavenging effect against hydroxyl."
  • They continue by stating that Burdock "aids elimination of excess fluid, uric acid and toxins."
  • Burdock is also traditionally used to promote healthy liver and gall bladder function.
  • Black Walnut Hulls:
  • The black walnut (Juglans nigra) has been a nutritious addition to the diets of individuals since ancient times, from the Native American to Asian cultures.
  • One of the key active components of the black walnut hull is juglone.
  • According to the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, black walnut is effective against ringworm, tapeworm, pin or thread worm, and other parasites of the intestine. (RMIT University Study)
  • It’s been suggested that the biological activity of the black walnut hull is due to the naphthoquinone, juglone (5-hydroxy-1,4 naphthoquinone).
  • The antifungal activity of juglone has also been compared to other known antifungal agents, such as griseofulvin, clotrimazole, tolnaftate, triacetin, zinc undecylenate, selenium sulfide, liriodenine and liriodenine methionine.
  • Napthoquinine juglone has been of great clinical interest since these compounds exhibit strong activity as antibacterial and antifungal agents.
  • A series of 50 naphthoquinone derivatives was synthesized and evaluated for antibacterial and antifungal properties (Medical Chemical Research)
  • The studies sited above are for informational purposes only. They do not reflect or relate to the performance or purpose of any products that contain similar materials.

    Health Information:

It can't be stressed enough how vital it is to feed, strengthen and nourish our filtering system through cleansing.

  • Blood is the river of life that flows through the human body. We cannot live without it.
  • The heart pumps blood to all body cells.
  • Blood supplies the entire body with oxygen and nutrients while traveling away from the heart.
  • At the same time blood also carries carbon dioxide and other toxins from the cells that needs to be filtered out while making the trip back to the heart.
  • The filtering process provides a more purified liquid of life (as long as the filters are working properly).
  • Blood also helps keep our temperature steady, and carries hormones that regulate body functions.
  • Blood plays one of the most vital roles in the health of our organs and systems.
  • The filteration system (the liver and kidney) keep the blood purified so that unhealthy toxins and chemicals are not allowed to recirculate.
